Aberdare Park Road Races were delighted to support the very first Mental Health Motorbike Hub, meet & greet in Wales, last weekend.
Mental Health Motorbike, a pioneering charity which is being led in Wales by Regional Coordinator Paul Sims, unveiled ambitious plans for its first well-being hub at the Owl’s Nest, Llandovery. The charity, driven by a mission to create the UK’s first dedicated mental health support service for bikers, gathered a formidable lineup of guest speakers.
With insights and inspirational tales from the likes of Chris Ganley and Simon Hewitt to the wisdom of Ian Gravell, the day was a testament to the diverse voices within the motorbike community.
The event wasn’t just about horsepower and revs; it was a showcase of camaraderie and shared purpose. Mental Health Motorbike First Aiders were on-site, emphasizing the importance of mental health support within the motorcycle world.
Joining Simon Hewitt and Neil Hawker Motorcycling in the The Dakar / ISDE gazebo was a hub of excitement, featuring the inspiring Carl and Craig Searle of Searles2Dakar. The Searle brothers, motorbike enthusiasts to the core, are gearing up for the Dakar 2025, aiming to make history as the first pair of brothers from the UK to finish it.
Bike World presenter, off-road legend, test rider, Journalist, design engineer, stunt man and road racer, Chris Northover was also in attendance to offer his support.
There was a wide range of bikes on display for attendees to checkout as well as our very own Aberaman Motorcycle Club - Orange Army Supporters who were there to support the hosting of the event.
